90. Commemorative Count von Asseburg Medal, 1909. AE, 50mm. Bust l. of late president of the German Olympic Committee. Rev. Marathon runner. Berlin had hoped to be chosen for the Olympic Games of 1912 during the 10th IOC Session in Berlin in May 1909. When v. Asseburg died on March 30, Berlin withdrew its bid and Stockholm was selected for the 1912 Olympic Games. EF, lt. spots on rev. ($250)
