301. Olympic Gold Medal Winner's Award Vase. Cast bronze, 14.5cm
(5.7") tall, 14cm (5.5") wide. Vase with 2 handles,
standing on 3 legs, Ancient Greek tripod form, "CORTINA 1956"
legend with Olympic rings on side. With carrying handle. Official
report p. 266. To our knowledge, this is the last time a trophy
was presented to winners in addition to their medals. EF. ($2,000)
302. Silver Participation Medal. Silver, 45mm, by C. Affer. Female
head facing, crowned by Olympic rings, flame in lower r. Rev.
Snowflake superimposed on Mount Pomagagnon. This medal was presented
to high dignitaries. EF. Rare. ($2,500)
303. Participation Medal. As preceding medal but bronze, presented
to athletes. EF, usual uneven toning obv. ($800)
